We think that, in work as in life, you get the best results when you keep it simple. For us, that's meant hiring smart, talented people, doing great work and being honest with our clients. Since 2005, we've tackled business challenges through powerful ideas and inventive thinking with a process centered on discovery, creation and evaluation. We love to work with medium- to large-sized companies who want to build (or rebuild) a forward-thinking brand or interactive experience.

Discovery ranges from a quick assessment of project opportunities and measures of success to deep, contextual research into a client's culture, market, customers and competition.
Harnessing the creative energy of a talented team, we use powerful ideas and inventive thinking to solve problems visually and technologically.
We collaborate with clients through an organized, structured feedback process that allows us to refine our work and evaluate it against project goals.
Founder / Executive Creative Director
Since 1999, Dan West has amassed an impressive portfolio of experience in both graphic design and branding, working with powerhouses like 3M, General Mills, Cargill, Pepsico, Nike, Bauer, Aveda and Target. His award-winning work has been recognized nationally and internationally by the American Institute of Graphic Arts, Print, How, Graphic Design USA, Rockport Publishing and the One Show.
Dan’s belief in the idea of working collaboratively with clients versus the traditional ‘we’re the agency’ approach is what led him to start Westwerk. His detailed creative and client-focused method has resulted in sustaining long-term relationships and a business that runs solely on referrals.
In addition to founding Westwerk Design in 2005, Dan started a record label with his twin brother Dave in 1987, which is still operating today. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife Katie, two daughters Nyla and Neve, their dog Mina, and a lot of musical equipment.
